Dear Readers! Edmund Here.

Sorry for the delay… I have been caught up with some family obligations and assignments lately. Guess I have to learn how to manage my activities better. 🙂

I was introduced to this book “How can I get myself to do what I need to do?

” by Terry Gogna on priority event management. After reading this book, I was really overwhelmed by the amount of time I have wasted in the past.

Ok… this may seem a bit off topic. But it was a really amazing book that I strongly urge everyone to check it out. And you guessed it correctly; this week’s awesome quote is by Benjamin Franklin and it is obtained from the book itself.

Here goes:

“He that can have patience can have what he will”

+ Benjamin Franklin: leading author and printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, inventor, satirist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat +

My Thoughts:

I feel that this quote highlights to me the importance of delayed gratification instead of instant gratification which is evident in our daily lives. I must admit that I was guilty of being impatient towards achieving my goals and dreams in the past. I realised that I was not getting any results by being impatient and rushing things through.

It can be very frustrating at times when you see people moving ahead of you. But now, I have learnt to be patient and worked towards my goals and dreams one step at a time. When I put this new acquired habit into practice, I soon found out that I was able to achieve my goals gradually. What About You?
